Heavy-Duty, All-Weather AC Disconnects for Indoor & Outdoor Use

AC disconnects are manual switching devices that safely isolate AC electrical circuits by providing a visible break in power, essential for maintenance, emergency shutoffs, and code compliance in industrial and solar applications.

IMO AC disconnect switches are heavy duty, manually operated non-fused AC disconnects approved to UL508 standards. Designed for versatility and durability, IMO's range of AC disconnects hold a switching capacity of up to 100A and are available in several styles. IMO's enclosed AC disconnect isolators and panel mount handles are IP65 rated, which allows for mounting outside where they could be subject to rainfall. These AC disconnect products are suitable for several applications, including solar energy.

The ability to withstand a wide span of operating temperatures makes the AC disconnect product suitable for even more applications where extreme temperatures are prevalent. Enclosed versions hold an operating temperature range of -40°C to +40°C and open versions (panel mount and base mount) -40°C to +60°C. According to UL and cUL data, the operating voltage is listed at 600VAC for general use.

A choice of handles and extension shafts are available for the base mount AC disconnects and auxiliary contact blocks for all options. Other ancillaries include, solid neutral block and add-on neutral switching pole (20A to 40A versions only). Users can control access to the AC disconnect switch depending on its padlock position which allows for up to three padlocks.
