IMO’s range of Cam Switches incorporates a unique building block system that allows for any number of switch variants to be built and supplied to the customer. Such is the flexibility of the Cam Switches, that they can be utilised in countless applications including mains/ motor switching and control and instrumentation circuits. The standard contact rating is 20A, although higher ratings are available on request and these switches have double interruption per pole and two contacts per cell. Standard units incorporate a 22.5mm central fixing for panel mounting. The switch body and actuators are supplied separately to provide a choice of four different set up configurations. Connection from actuator to switch body is made through a solid aluminium shaft. Manufactured in accordance with IEC 60947-3, the new Cam Switches carry an IP65 rating appropriately when mounted inb a suitably rated enclosure and have ‘finger proof’ screw terminals. The switch body is supplied complete with legend plate and all units are UL/cUL approved.
